This time we bring together the work of two artists who are inspired by the details and moments of everyday life. Fashion label Tales of Anyday by designer Sintija Avotniece designs garments for everyday wear, while photographer Giulia Vigna is on a constant quest in search of beauty in ordinary places.
As suggested by the name of the brand, Tales of Anyday brings everyday inspirations to the design, creating apparels for everyday and long-lasting wear. The designs are simple yet functional, with the aim of making women feel comfortable and beautiful an uncomplicated way. The label celebrates beauty that lays in the simplest moments of the most casual days and simply our everyday existence. With sustainability at heart, the label pays great attention to the fabrics selection, textile print design, the design quality and the production environment and process. Every step along the journey is to bring sustainable outcome including the idea of making long lasting pieces that stand the test of time.
With background in Fashion Design and Graphic Arts, Artists Giulia Vigna initiated ongoing project ‘Building It Beautiful’, as the act of consciously choosing to see and search for the beauty around us - paying attention and exploring what can at first glance seems unworthy of attention yet reveals incredible beauty when we take a moment to appreciate. Everyday setting and subtle beauty intrigues Vigna. She uncovers abstract beauty in seemingly mundane objects by paying closer attention to the details in the surrounding environments, and framing contrasting colours and shapes. She celebrates and captures these moments, because “I am happy to be caught between the act of looking and the act of telling”, as she told us.
