Atelier Bartavelle’s SS17 collection "Les Auffes" is inspired by the Auffes, a small traditional haven in Marseille, France. Between the sky and the sea, in the heart of an urban district, you will discover the scenery and inspirations of the collection in the words of the French writer Anne Collongues, and mood images by the label’s own Caroline Perdrix. The fashion images are shot by the label's long-term collaborator Francesca Ferrari.
The color range is fresh, contrasting and colorful: limestone pink, lavender blue, purple, red poppy, for plain colors; Caribbean madras flocked in a range of orange, pink, light blue and a range of red, pink, blue.
One discovers a new fabric developed with a silk factory from Lyon called Sfate and Combier: silvery lurex and silk with pink reflections, and a mesh of underwear with silver and golden threads that transforms the garment into a jewelry piece.
This season, the collection is feminine and sometimes unisex. The clothes are light, flexible and wide. The shirts can become dresses or tunics, worn more classically with shorts or a skirt or unbuttoned on the sides for more relaxation. The label’s "classic" coat and tricolor jacket are revisited in a new color ranges. While skirt and dress are declined in the form of the apron, as a top piece.

About Atelier Bartavelle
ATELIER BARTAVELLE is a brand of clothes that develops a feminine and sometimes unisex wardrobe. The choice of the fabrics - always noble - and colorful ranges over the collections, inscribes the fashion brand in a qualitative, fresh and generous universe.
As a wink to the bartavelle, a native bird of the south of France, the brand identity is deeply linked to Marseille, southern and Provence for its lights, its contrasting atmosphere and color schemes.
The strength of the brand is also its collaborations with creative, visual artists, designers, writers, dancers ... who come to assert its collective DNA and enrich its history.
The two founders, Alexia Tronel, graduated in political science and specialized in sustainable development, and Caroline Perdrix, graduated from the Chambre Syndicale of Parisian Couture, are winners of the Mediterranean Fashion Prize and supported by the city of Paris through the Ateliers de Paris. They initiate what they call a ‘new luxury’, driven by social values, their concern for quality and heritage. The clothes are made between Paris, Cambrai, Marseille and Porto. Do little but well, tell all of its parts. On each garment, the label indicates the source and the name of the craftsman.
