Abstract Art and Embroidery Patches

Roche Rouge x Ingeborg ten Hoopen

Roche Rouge provides you with fashionable embroideries that prolong the life of your garments as a response to the system of ever changing fashion collections. Designer Ann Boogaerts studied fashion design at ArtEZ in Arnhem and IFM in Paris. She gained experience at among others Robert Clergerie and has collaborated with Gucci and Aigle. Together with Alexander Kaller, she decided to convert their mutual passion for fashion and crafts into a new Belgian brand.

Roche Rouge’s second collection takes you on a journey to the darkest depths of the sea. The collection consists of embroidered iron-on patches with designs of playful seahorses, golden crabs and jellyfish in hues of royal blue. Their new designs are provided with glow in the dark accents, to radiate during day and night.

The atmosphere of the lookbook is highlighted by the work of artist Ingeborg ten Hoopen, an artist with a large number of solo exhibitions on her CV. Ten Hoopen’s neo constructivist artworks reveal her passion for a conceptual approach; at the same time she creates an art historical awareness by choosing the minimalist aesthetic. From hundreds of small sketches she carefully chooses the ones that become paintings or graphite drawings. Ten Hoopen’s artworks show a richness of powerful use of color, a balanced, intuitive composition and precise execution.
