Capturing everyday details and translating them into garments, we found the lighthearted match between fashion label AH/OK and photographer Arch Mcleish. Milan based fashion label AH/OK reflects the designer duo Claudia Carieri and Francesca Errani themselves – simple, clean, and eclectic.
AH/OK’s design is characterized by refined and contemporary prints, created through material experimentation. The label’s second silk series ‘Folio’ continues to infuse Scandinavian and Oriental elements, combining color patterns and minimal lines. The series consists of kimonos, headbands, a jacquard scarf and a foulard – light yet practical accessories.
The main feature of this new collection is the prints created from fragments and scraps of painted paper, combining with unusual and contemporary patterns. The starting point of Folio prints is, as always, very basic: the designers love to experiment. They worked with brushes, rollers, acrylic paint, paper cutouts, joining free composition and geometry to create collages that, once printed on silk, incredibly come to life.
Pairing with AH/OK’s design is the work of London based photographer Arch Mcleish. With his signature style framing, Mcleish captures architectural patterns within its organic surroundings, turning what is supposed to be the contrast into harmonious images. Zooming into curious details of his subjects, the seemly airy shots are rather delicately framed. With background in design and architecture, Mcleish constantly searches for structured patterns and shapes in buildings, everyday objects and lights – capturing elements of beautiful simplicity that are easily neglected by us.

AH/OK creates something that they always wanted in they closets, that reflects themselves and their tastes. Simple, clean, basic, eclectic. Characterised by refined and contemporary prints, created through material’s experimentation and combined with minimal lines, colours combination, high quality and details attention, Scandinavian and Oriental references: AH/OK is all this, together.
Both designers, Claudia Carieri and Francesca Errani brought in this project their professional experiences and assets: Claudia started as graphic designer and illustrator, Francesca as jewelry designer. Two worlds similar and different at the same time, that met in 2006 within the team of Swatch designers. Here their knowledges are amplified: for Claudia with bijoux design, rendering and material research, for Francesca with patterns, prints and textiles. AH/OK is where all finally meets.

Arch is a Photographer, Designer and Graphic Artist, Living in SE.London. He has worked in the design and architecture industries and more recently directing brands and the creative side of companies, This has resulted in a diverse portfolio but with a consistent style that joins it all together, with photography and image making the anchor.
With his photography he never over complicates an image, and looks to capture scenes through harmonious framing, use of colours and by a focus on a curious detail or elements of beautiful simplicity; sunlight warping through glass, painted lines, gentle waves or arms clutching.
