Marlich is a bag and accessories label based in Lausanne, Switzerland. It's debut collection 'The Barnett' distinguishes itself through the intentional contrast between the natural aspect of leather and synthetic material. Designer Marine Delplanque is drawn to the architectural lines in buildings, and how they have become organic over time.
'The Barnett’ distinguishes itself through the intentional contrast between the natural aspect of leather and synthetic material. The collection found its playful balance between showing and hiding what is not meant to be seen at first glance.
Marine is inspired by the work of TJ Tambellini, a Los Angeles based artist, who focuses on photography and sculptural compositions. Through abstract observations of the subject details, his work uncovers seemingly causal relationships between organic and inorganic. The works of two artists are beautifully connected through their approach to structure and vivid complementing palates.
Marlich is an up and coming bags and accessories brand based in Lausanne Switzerland by Marine Delplanque. 'The Barnett' debut collection consists of wallets with card holders and hand bags with bag organizers. The materials of each model distinguishes itself based on the following properties: the quality of the leather and the plastic-like feel.
The product range is crafted by an artisan leather manufacturer in France. The hidden pockets allow the wearer to hide certain objects that are not meant to be transparent at first glance. The brands name stems from the arabic phrase "it's all right". Its philosophy is to transport you to a new world full of light.
About TJ Tambellini
WeTJ Tambellini, a Los Angeles based artist, focuses on photography and sculptural compositions, finding the hyperreal quality of the everyday through abstract observations. TJ Tambellini lives and works in Los Angeles, California. He has been published and featured in Booooooom, It’s Nice That, This is Paper, Latent Image, Pitch Zine, and Paper Journal. His first publication, Court Yard, was released in 2016 by Kiosk Editions.
